Trust in the blue tick

The digital 'Pink Tick' logo was the recognised stamp of industry excellence during the high profile 'analogue to digital switchover' now that has come to an end the pink tick is being withdrawn from circulation and has been replaced with a new 'Digital Blue Tick' logo.

RDI Tradesmen are the only digital experts allowed to display the new 'blue tick' so that consumers can be assured that any tradesman, product or retailer that displays the 'blue tick' badge has been approved by the Institute and has been vetted to a high standard.

You can check to see if your tradesman is listed on the 'Find a digital tradesman' section of this website. Getmedigital.com has been created to be the vehicle to promote digital installation and digital service providers direct to potential customers and people in at risk groups who require assistance.

Consumers can be assured that approved and listed tradesmen are competent, suitably trained or qualified, CRB security checked and that they operate to an industry leading code of conduct. Our tradesmen will always carry their unique ID card and registration number. As an added security check customers can use their  ID number to check RDI tradesmen are registered with the Institute and listed on getmedigital.com.

The training arm of the Registered Digital Institute is constantly designing and developing new and relevant training courses to keep our network of tradesmen up-skilled and up to date with advanced technologies. The RDI launched the UK's first online 4G e-learning course for our database of approved digital tradesmen and professionals. Once completed, tradesmen will be able to confidently provide solutions for customers who experience problems with their Freeview boxes or televisions when 4G begins broadcasting on the UHF channels. We have designed this to make sure that we keep RDI tradesmen are up to date

This course has been uniquely designed by the RDI with input from industry stakeholders including Digital UK, Arqiva and Ofcom and provides a definitive guideline for members on the issues and solutions.
