Teaching kids about money is so important but can be a thankless and boring task. The concept of a piggy bank has become outdated with the cash taking a back seat to card payments and even now contact-less payment methods. Money Monster could change this. It is a new form of money box which is digital and linked with a contact-less cash card which is then monitored and controlled by parents. It’s eyes light up as money is transferred to the Money Monster account and you tilt the monster to the side to show the balance on the screen.
Working like a debit card, the contactless payment card is loaded with money that can be used in many stores with the statements being sent to the app which is controlled by parents. The screen also shows other messages which relate to spending. Targeted at price of £30, it is expected to be released later in 2018.
