Check out this new form of transport, the OneWheel. The OneWheel is a board with a motorised wheel in the middle. At first look it looks nearly impossible to ride, but the One Wheel has a self-balance system making it a little bit easier to ride.
To control the OneWheel, you lean forward to drive forward, lean back to slow down and come to a stop, and press your heels or toes to turn, like how you would to turn on a skateboard.
The OneWheels charge, lasts for about 4-6 miles and with its ultra charger it charges in well under an hour.
There is a OneWheel app, to help improve the ride and tailor it to you. The Onewheel iPhone + Android app enable Digital Shaping: much like a surfboard is shaped for a particular rider and conditions, Onewheel can adjust to meet your needs and ability.
The creators of the one Wheel are Future motion, founded
in 2013, Future Motion Inc is a pioneering new entrant to the board sports world. Future Motion is committed to designing and developing inspiring vehicles that include both elegant form and unprecedented function. Future Motion's first product, OneWheel, exemplifies its dedication to crafting productsthat bridge recreation and transportation.
Onewheel launched successfully on Kickstarter in January 2014 and thanks to the support of its amazing backers the OneWheel dream is becoming a reality.
Onewheel's three-week January 2014 Kickstarter campaign surged past its $100,000 (£65,500) pledge goal en route to $630,000 (£420,000) in fundraising.
Future Motion is based in Mountain View, California and is a privately held company focused on the development of advanced personal vehicles.
